🔹 GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. What is the Mizoram State Medical Council (MSMC)?
MSMC is a statutory regulatory body responsible for maintaining the register of qualified medical practitioners in Mizoram and ensuring ethical standards in medical practice.

2. Is registration with MSMC mandatory?
Yes, all medical practitioners intending to practice in Mizoram must be registered with MSMC under the applicable laws.

3. Where is the MSMC office located?
The official address will be published on our website’s Contact Us page. You can also reach us via email at support@mizorammedicalcouncil.in.

4. What are MSMC’s office hours?
MSMC operates from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding public holidays.

5. What types of registrations does MSMC handle?
MSMC handles Provisional Registration, Permanent Registration, Additional Qualification Registration, Renewal, Good Standing Certificates, and No Objection Certificates (NOC).


🔹 REGISTRATION

6. How do I apply for doctor registration with MSMC?
Visit the MSMC website, go to the Doctor Registration page, fill out the online form, upload your documents, and submit for verification.

7. What documents are required for new registration?
You typically need your MBBS/MD degree certificate, internship completion, photo, signature, proof of identity, and mark sheets. Refer to the checklist on the registration page for full details.

8. Can I apply for registration offline?
No. MSMC currently accepts only online applications through the official website.

9. Is there an application fee?
Yes, each type of registration involves a fee. The fee structure is mentioned on the respective service pages or during the online application process.

10. Can I edit my registration form after submission?
No. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited. If correction is needed, please email support@mizorammedicalcouncil.in with your application ID.

11. How long does the registration process take?
Typically, the verification and approval process takes 7–15 working days, depending on the completeness of your submission.


🔹 PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION

12. What is provisional registration?
Provisional registration is granted to medical graduates who have completed their final year but are yet to complete the internship. It allows them to begin their internship legally.

13. Can I apply for permanent registration after internship?
Yes. Once you complete your internship and obtain the completion certificate, you can apply for permanent registration with MSMC.


🔹 PERMANENT REGISTRATION

14. When should I apply for permanent registration?
You should apply after successfully completing your internship and obtaining all required documents from your university or institution.

15. Can I transfer my registration from another state medical council to MSMC?
Yes. You must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your previous medical council and apply online through MSMC’s portal.


🔹 RENEWAL & ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

16. Is renewal of registration required?
Yes. Doctors are required to renew their registration periodically. The validity and renewal period will be mentioned on your registration certificate.

17. How do I update my additional qualifications (e.g., MD, MS)?
You can apply under the “Additional Qualification Registration” category on the MSMC portal and upload your new degree certificate for verification.

18. Do I need to submit CME credits for renewal?
Yes. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits may be required for renewal, depending on state guidelines. Check current circulars for updates.


🔹 GOOD STANDING / NOC / VERIFICATION

19. What is a Good Standing Certificate?
It is an official document issued by MSMC declaring that your registration is in good standing with no disciplinary issues. It is often needed for overseas applications.

20. How can I apply for a Good Standing Certificate?
Log into your account and apply under the “Good Standing” section. Upload the necessary documents and pay the applicable fee.

21. How do I request a No Objection Certificate (NOC)?
NOC applications can be made through the MSMC portal for those intending to transfer their registration to another State Medical Council.

22. Can institutions verify a doctor’s registration online?
Yes. Use the Doctor Search feature on our website to verify a practitioner’s name, qualification, and registration status.


🔹 APPLICATION STATUS & PDF DOWNLOAD

23. How can I track my application status?
Log into your MSMC dashboard. Your current application status will be shown under the “My Applications” section.

24. Will I receive a digital certificate after approval?
Yes. Once approved, you can download a PDF copy of your registration certificate from your account dashboard.

25. I entered incorrect information. What should I do?
Immediately email support@mizorammedicalcouncil.in with your application ID and correction details.


🔹 TECHNICAL / WEBSITE ISSUES

26. I did not receive an email after submitting the form.
Please check your spam/junk folder. If not found, contact support with your name and mobile number.

27. My documents are not uploading. What should I do?
Ensure that:

  • File sizes are under 2MB

  • Formats are JPG, PNG, or PDF

  • You are using a stable internet connection

28. Can I visit the MSMC office in person for queries?
